Installing Picture Railing in Rockport

I installed this new picture railing for a new owner of a cottage in Rockport, which had plaster walls. Jae didn't want to damage her walls with nails and wanted this hanging rail instead. She wanted to paint them the same color as the walls to they would blend in. I'll be back to do her dining room.

Ode to a Brush Hog (aka Spring Clearing)

Every spring I clear the lower meadow of overgrown brush on my mother's property. I rent the brush hog from Gloucester Equipment Rental which makes this job much easier. But it is still hard work. I do this job for my mom - not for clients.

Making a BAD Great Room Better...

Jen hated main room of her home because it felt like "frat room" (her words). Beige ceilings, blah blue walls, trim that had raw wood and some that had painted wood. The ceiling had texture (ARGH) so I got a power painter to spray it because rolling it would not work. Pictures don't do justice to the change in the atmosphere of this Great Room. 15 hrs @ $40/hr = $600
