Aging in Place

A lot of my clients are retired, seniors or people realizing they just can't do that anymore. I love being there to help all but especially this venerable and vulnerable population. Diana and Alan needed help accommodating their home in Essex. I was glad to help install grab bars outside the shower and one screwed into tiled shower stall.

Replastering a Bedroom in an Old Home

Last week I restored walls in a bedroom in Pigeon Cove, Rockport. They were in pretty good shape. The owner took down the wall paper which saved me time and her money. She picked up all the supplies so it only cost her labor. It took about a week to finish because, well, I got post-Thanksgiving-crud for a few days. What a difference a few coats of joint compound and some new paint make in transforming a room! LABOR: 10 hrs @ $30 = $300 (2-3 hours each night) SUPPLIES (provided) Karen, Derek and Ryan were thrilled with the new man cave!

New Normal - Managing My Car

As a Handywoman, I need to keep (most) everything ready to go in my car, or wagon to be specific. I am not a truck gal or jeep gal. I love me my wagon. Subaru 2012 Outback to be specific. Managing stuff is not my strong suit, as Dot (my mom) will tell you. Every now and then I need to take things apart to put them back together again!
